What Went Down
Ridge Rider Days Recap
Game 1: Carolina Cowboys
Saturday night wasn’t quite the outcome we had hoped for, falling to the Carolina Cowboys 4-2. We didn’t walk away entirely empty-handed, though: Daniel Keeping struck early, logging 81.5 points aboard Stryker to get Texas on the board, and João Ricardo Vieira rounded out the night in style, going for the gold aboard El Dorado to rack up another 87 points. (Final 168.5 : 345.75)
Game 2: New York Mavericks
Sunday’s matchup brought a little bit of redemption the Rattlers’ way. A 3-2 win over the New York Mavericks sent the boys into the bye week on a high note: Daniel Keeping wasted no time in getting some points on the board, going for 87.5 points aboard Wasted Nights. Claudio Montanha Jr. then landed a solid 87-point-ride aboard No Man’s Land, followed by closer João Ricardo Vieira’s 82-point-finish aboard Karizma. (Final 256.5 : 173.5)

For the Love of the Game: Fielder Wins First-Ever “Great 8” Award
It’s been a great season for Brady Fielder. His impressive 72% riding percentage is the highest in the league, and has helped lead the Rattlers to many wins throughout this season. The Queensland cowboy was recently recognized as the first-ever recipient of the Great 8 award – a new regular season honor awarded to the rider with the highest riding percentage on at least 20 outs. “I’ve always known I could do it and was feeling good about the season,” Fielder said. “I set goals with that expectation, to achieve those kind of things, and I just thank God for his guidance each and every day. It helps a lot.”
Bull Riding, and Book Writing: Venom’s Eight-Second Dream Available Now!
We have a very exciting update for the youngest members of Rattler Nation: Our very own, first-of-its-kind children’s book about Professional Bull Riding is ready to go! The book releases everywhere TODAY, Monday October 14th.
The story follows a young bull named Venom as he grows up with dreams of competing alongside the Ariat Texas Rattlers as a PBR bucking bull. Venom is based on a real-life PBR bucking bull of the same name, who the real-life Rattlers have welcomed as our bull mascot. The book is dedicated to all the PBR bucking bulls who help make our great sport possible, and highlights the great pride the entire Professional Bull Riding community takes in caring for our animal athlete partners. It’s a lovable story with an extra-important message: Don’t wait to get your hands on a copy!
