It’s hard to believe it’s been over a month since your Ariat Texas Rattlers were making their final preparations for Vegas ahead of the 2024 Camping World Teams Series championship. This year’s finals may not have shaken out quite the way we’d hoped for, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to be proud of from the 2024 season. We’re still reminiscing about all the highlights, including but certainly not limited to:
Raising thousands of dollars for Permian Basin youth in partnership with Chevron’s “800-for-8” initiative
Logging our second 5-for-5 perfect game in team history (the fifth perfect win in the history of the league)
Adding the first-ever Texas Cup to our trophy case with two thrilling victories over the Austin Gamblers
Defending our home dirt to remain undefeated for the second year in a row during a record-breaking Rattler Days
Releasing our self-published children’s book to bring the world of Professional Bull Riding to fans of all ages
There’s a lot to be thankful for this November, as the first official month of postseason winds to a close. The Ariat Texas Rattlers are grateful to each and every member of Rattler Nation for your constant outpouring of support. Whether you’ve been a member of the Snake Pit from the beginning or are just now joining the party, we’re happy you’re here! We can’t wait to do it all again with you next year. You’ll be hearing from us in your inbox a little less often throughout the next couple of months — but don’t mistake that as a sign that the Rattlers are in hibernation. The guys will still be training and competing individually between now and next July, preparing to strike again as a team in 2025. Qynn Andersen, Brady Fielder, and Daniel Keeping have already made some exciting moves outside of the teams series, heading Down Under to Qynn and Brady’s home country earlier this month to take on the Australian Grand Finals, where they finished in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place respectively. João Ricardo Vieira, Marcelo Procopio Pereira, and Claudio Montanha Jr. have been making some waves as well, showing out in the elite Unleash the Beast tour since it kicked off two weekends ago. From now through May, tune into PBR’s Unleash the Beast livestream every weekend (or grab some tickets to the venue nearest you!) to see some familiar faces battle it out 1-on-1 for their chance at the coveted gold championship buckle. Speaking of Unleash the Beast, have you heard the big news? The Monster Energy Team Challenge, presented by Camping World, is an all-new extension of the teams series hitting the UTB circuit this year. The Challenge will add a little bit of spice to select weekends, where rivals from the Teams Series will play a 6-on-6 game for a shot at some serious bragging rights. Naturally, your Ariat Texas Rattlers will be taking on our in-state rivals, the Austin Gamblers. Much like the battle for the Texas Cup, we’ll be facing off against Austin in three events throughout the UTB season — and we all remember how that ended up the last time, don’t we? Another win over Austin sounds pretty good to us, so we say bring it on!
