Rattler Roundup: Greensboro 2024
Rattler Roundup – Greensboro, NC
Your Ariat Texas Rattlers cowboyed up to clinch a perfect 2-0 finish in North Carolina last weekend. Friday night was poetry in motion and history in the making as the guys rode their way to a 5/5 victory over the Missouri Thunder, securing $4K for Permian Basin youth while picking up the 5th perfect game in league history. Qualified rides from three veterans on Saturday night brought Texas to the winner’s circle once again, outscoring the Arizona Ridge Riders to take the victory and add another $2400 to the Chevron $800 for 8 tally.
Cowboy Days definitely set the tone for what’s next on the docket. Which is a good thing, because the wait is almost over! Rattler Days kicks off tomorrow… and Texas is in it to win it (again).
Before we get to that, though, here’s your look at What Went Down in Greensboro, as well as What’s Next for Rattler Nation as we wrap up final preparations for our homestand.

Cowboy Days Recap
Game 1: Missouri Thunder
Texas brought home the victory over Missouri in style on Friday night. By the time the arena dust settled, every Rattler had put a score on the board to clinch their second perfect game in franchise history. Texas now boasts two of five perfect finishes in PBR history, thanks to Brady Fielder, Daniel Keeping, Claudio Montanha Jr., Marcelo Procopio Pereira, and João Ricardo Vieria. Their matchups against Hood Rat, Smooth Criminal, Fierce’s Dirtnap, Spendin’ Cash, and Homeboy added up to a fantastic 427.50-point-finish over Missouri. (Final 427.50 : 175.75)
Game 2: Arizona Ridge Riders
The Rattlers and Ridge Riders each went 3 for 5 on Saturday night, but in the end it was Texas who walked away with the victory. Brady Fielder started us off on the right foot, turning Silvertown into gold with a score of 86.25-points. Dan the Man then went jump-for-jump with Step that Step, continuing to keep on, Keeping on through the whistle for 83.25-points. Braidy Randolph then made his return debut against Washita Red, but he and Marcelo Procopio Pereira (Magic Potion) were both ejected before either could clinch a score. This brought the deciding factor down to João Ricardo Vieria’s matchup against Gunsmoke; he made the whistle for an 87-point-marker that clinched a walk-off win for Texas. (Final 256.50 : 236)
