The Ariat Texas Rattlers are the inaugural team in the PBR Team Series. Based out of Fort Worth, Texas, the team is led by PBR and rodeo legend Cody Lambert. Although previously known as an individual sport, team bull riding is a spirited 5-on-5 battle. However, the rules remain the same - Ride for 8 seconds and post the highest score with your teammates. The Ariat Texas Rattlers are a gritty group of cowboys who never back down from a fight against some of the toughest beasts known to man.
Rattlers are quiet creatures, but their ferocity earns respect from everyone they meet. A rattler can strike, winning a battle in mere seconds. Like their namesake, the cowboys of the Ariat Texas Rattlers are powerful warriors who strike in just 8 seconds.
A co-founder of the PBR, Cody Lambert is a true rodeo legend. Qualifying for the PBR World Finals from 1994-1996, Lambert remained intimately involved with the PBR following his retirement from competition, becoming the organization’s Livestock Director, a role he held for the past three decades, selecting the bulls that are an essential ingredient for the PBR’s explosive growth. In addition to being one of the inaugural inductees into the prestigious PBR Ring of Honor, Lambert is also a member of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame and the National Cowboy Western Heritage Museum’s Rodeo Hall of Fame. He resides in Bowie, TX with his wife Leanne.
Brady Oleson joined the Ariat Texas Rattlers during the Camping World Teams Series inaugural year (2022) after recruitment by head coach Cody Lambert. He was instrumental in the Rattlers’ 2023 World Championship campaign and competed for two years before a career-ending injury in 2024. Despite his injury, Oleson continued supporting the team from the sidelines and officially became assistant coach in January 2025. As one of only two coaches in the league with firsthand Teams Series experience, Brady brings unique competitor insight, an impressive riding resume, and passion for developing others. Combined with Coach Lambert’s expertise, his addition ensures the Rattlers remain in excellent hands for the upcoming season and beyond.
